Block Shop is a Los Angeles-based textile brand that combines 1920's Bauhaus vibes with traditional dyeing techniques. All scarves from Block shop are printed by hand using wooden printing blocks in Bagru, Rajastan and whenever possible the dyes used are of vegetable or mineral origin, accompanied by small amounts of non-toxic chemical dyes that are sometimes used to enhance the colors.
According to Blockshop, the Temple scarf is a riff off the wall drawings of Sol Lewitt. If you are reluctant to have anyone draw on your wall, you can hang this scarf there instead! It is big enough to be used as a wraparound top, a table cloth for a small home or you can just wear it as a scarf. The cloth is a lightweight mix of silk and cotton, which gives the scarf a nice lustre and drape.
