Sugar Cane is a brand owned by Japan’s Toyo Enterprises, Ltd., also famous for the army reconstruction brand Buzz Rickson's and the made in Japan part of the Mister Freedom collection. Sugar Cane however is focusing on reconstructing the early days of vintage workwear history. The brand has roots that goes back to the 1950's but it wasn't until the late 80's that Sugar Cane started building their reputation as one of the best denim makers in Japan, a position they've held up til this very writing moment!

This is Sugar Canes version of a classic 1930's work shirt, made of a beautiful red cotton chambray fabric. It has details associated with the time period such as two chest pockets in different sizes where the smaller one is an expandable pocket with a pocket flap. This would be ideal to store a pocket watch in back in the days! The larger pocket has a small compartment for a pencil and the size of this pocket is also perfect for telephones today.
