This is a vintage Rocky Mountain Featherbed GoreTex Jacket. We estimate that this is a jacket from the 80's. The condition of this jacket is good. You can tell that it's been worn but there are no scratches, rips or tears, the nylon exterior and interior is in a good state. The zipper on the inner pocket runs smooth and the buttons works perfectly. The jacket has a built in hood inside of the collar, drawstring in the waist and jacquard liner. The jacket doesn't have a tag that states exactly what materials it is made of. The Yoke feels like real leather, the exterior is nylon and the liner feels like wool. But we can´t say for sure what materials this jacket contains.
Rocky Mountains Featherbed is a true icon when it comes to the history of functional outdoor clothes. The Rocky Mountain Featherbed vest was originally made back in the 1960's and the idea was to take the traditional western style garments and combine them with the new technical materials to make outdoor garments for a new era to be worn by lovers of the great outdoors. The jacket made of sturdy nylon filled with down combined with the Cowboy aesthetic using a typical western shoulder yoke became a hit and could soon be seen in every other ski slope!
