This shop coat is made in Japan by Warehouse & Co. Warehouse is known for making some of the best vintage replica garments in the word and their attention to details when it comes to material and manufacturing techniques makes it hard to tell the difference if you compare a Warehouse garment with an actual vintage garment.
This coat finds it's inspiration in work wear from the middle of the last century, a time where these kind of protective garments were commonly worn in lots of different occupations. This version is made of a heavy cotton selvage chambray fabric and you can find the selvage edges on the inside of the pockets cut and sewn just like they would have done it back in the days, using the full width of the fabric and placing the edges in the best possible way while saving time in production, because these edges didn't need to be stitched or folded. With time this coat will look just beautiful when the indigo fades, showing traces of the person who's been wearing it.
All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. Width is measured straight across the chest from armpit to armpit. The length is measured at the back of the garment from the neck down.
