Sugar cane 14,25 Oz. Hawaii Indigo Mixed Right Twill Denim Lot: 401

This fit from Sugar Cane & Co is called the Lot: 401. The silhouette is identical to their iconic 1947 fit. The thing that makes these special is the fabric. Sugar Cane calls it Hawaii Denim, a original fabric theirs with a blend of 50% cotton and 50% sugar cane fiber. Sugar cane fibers has several unique qualities such as being antibacterial and deodorizing due to the amino acid effects contained in sugar cane. All in all a most beautiful fabric with a slightly uneven surface and a bright blue indigo shade!

Several wonderful details can be found on these such as a hand-embroidered sashiko back pocket, green line selvedge and a hair on hide leather patch showing a turtle, also said to be the messenger of the gods on Hawaii.

When it comes to the size these jeans are quite small in the waist so we would recommend you to size up one size from your regular size for a comfortable fit. If they feel snug in the waist when you try them on you can also expect them to extend a couple of centimeters when worn. The slim waist makes this a fit that actually works well on women too!

Give us a comment during check out and we will shorten them before we send them. Keep in mind that you won't be able to return the jeans if we alter the length for you. For hemming, we'll use a vintage Union Special chain stitch sewing machine, to match the original seam of the jeans.
