The Japanese brand Buzz Rickson's are today counted among the few high-end reproduction manufacturers of military and casual garments in the world! They strive to make true replicas by carefully researching and analyzing original vintage garments, taking great care to duplicate the material while paying close attention to technique and quality with the goal to bring back old forgotten techniques and machines needed to make garments of outstanding quality without compromises.

As the name suggests, the short wool overcoat became standard issue within the US army in 1926. The design is similar to the so called  Mackinaw coat that was a popular outdoor jacket in the 20/30s. The heavy wool will keep you warm in cold weather even when wet. The double breasted front will keep the chest warm and prevent the cold wind from entering. The large shawl collar kan easily be raised to add a wind protection for the neck and the belt in the waist will help to keep it in place.

Buzz Rickson's has carefully reproduced this garment according to the original ones from the middle of the last century and it is a pleasure to see that this kind of high quality wool garment still can be produced in modern times. The jacket will definitely keep you warm even when the weather drops way below zero. Combine it with a wool sweater and you can enjoy the winter while looking well dressed at the same time!

Johan is 173 cm tall with a weigh of 67 kilos and wears a size 38.
