The Japanese brand Buzz Rickson's are today counted among the few high-end reproduction manufacturers of military and casual garments in the world! They strive to make true replicas by carefully researching and analyzing original vintage garments, taking great care to duplicate the material while paying close attention to technique and quality with the goal to bring back old forgotten techniques and machines needed to make garments of outstanding quality without compromises.

This is a reproduction of a denim cap that was used by the U.S. Navy in the 1940s, including World War II. The original cap that this reproduction was made to imitate is labeled Experimental Garment this represents a test sample with high rarity in the military collectables market.

The mold is cut with the same pattern as the top of the leather flying helmet used during the war, and consists of four vertical parts. The visor is designed to be long and square shaped unlike the visor shape of mechanical or work caps. This tells us that this design was made to focus on protecting its wearer from the ultraviolet rays. The same shape can be seen on the B-1 flying cap used by the US Army Air Corps of the same time period.

Comes in two sizes, 7 1/4" and 7 1/2". The 7 1/4" will fit 56-58 cm heads and the 7 1/2" 59-61cm.
