Tender is a one man brand based in England and the founder William Kroll continues to make beautiful clothes inspired by the history of durable workwear with a contemporary style.
What we like about the aesthetics of Tender is that the appearance may look simple at first, but William is always adding smart and interesting details to the garments, combined with interesting textiles that feel great to wear. As far as possible all products are produced in England, from the weaving of the fabrics to cutting and sewing.
The Double Front Butterfly Jacket is named after the construction with double fabric at the front of the jacket that also form the pockets. I other words, the entire front of the jacket can be used to store things in! The pocket openings are located by side seams and the openings are reinforced using dome-shaped copper rivets.
The fabric is a 100% cotton indigo weft sawtooth twill produced in England for Tender. It feels nice and sturdy and the weaving also brings a beautiful texture to the fabric. The jacket has been pre washed, giving it the feeling of a everyday garment that will look better the more it gets used. While it appears quite grey at this stage, a few washes will bring forth the brilliant blue of the indigo used for the weft!
