This is a second hand jacket produced in Scotland by the well known leather jacket manufacturer Aero Leathers. The 1950s Half Belt is a civilian jacket with a design that finds its roots in the 30s to 50s style of leather jackets.
This jacket is made of a genuine horsehide, a material known for it's high quality and for being one of the leather materials that will age best with time and wear. Even if the jacket has been used for a few years the patina is just great, and one could argue that this kind of jacket actually just looks better after being used for years, when the leather starts to be broken in and show traces of being loved and worn. The only damage report that we can see is that part of the zipper pull on the chest pocket is missing but it can still be used with what's left of the pull.
