Eastlogue are based in South Korea and their inspiration comes from traditional vintage garments intended for outdoor activities. Their goal is to produce highly functional garments inspired by the past but with a modern silhouette, creating garments that will become modern classics and that will be wearable for years to come.

This jacket is Eastlogue's version of a wet weather parka that was originally used by the US Navy, where the first versions were used during WWII. This particular jacket is an updated version of the wet weather parka used during the Vietnam war. The original ones were wide and intended to be worn as a protective layer on top of other gear, and this version is a more functional jacket with a contemporary fit and smart details, including the so-called lobster hooks located on the front of the jacket. These metal clamps were first used in the 40s, intended to make it easy to button the jacket while wearing gloves. The jacket also has a sturdy Riri zipper that opens both ways.

There are two hand-warmer storm pockets that are expandable, the name storm pocket relating to the folded opening that will make sure that water won't get into the pocket, even in heavy rain. On the top of the left pocket there is also a smaller pocket that can be closed with a zipper, and this one is in perfect size to hold a phone or wallet. The jacket also has one inner pocket and is adorned with two drawstrings; one at the lower edge and one in the hood.

The shell fabric is a tightly woven beige-colored cotton twill that resembles a ventile fabric because it is close to water resistant but still breathable. The jacket is fully lined with a thinner cotton fabric.
