This knife is called London, a reference to its origin. The model spread from England to the northern coast of France, and the fishermen, sailors and whalers of Brittany used to favor the model particularly. The upper curve of the blade is very rounded and the cutting edge is totally straight, making this an ideal knife for life on a boat. It can be used for cutting ropes and sailcloth, repairing wood and it can even be used during meal times. At the end of the shaft there is a little hole drilled where you can attach a piece of cord or a metal ring, which would allow you to hang your knife on a hook.
