These chinos are made in Japan by Pherrow's with inspiration from vintage military and leisurewear from the middle of the 20th century. The cut has a high waist with a wide leg with a slight taper and notable details are the two front pleats that give the pants a relaxed and comfortable fit. The pants has a Universal zipper made in Kentucky USA, cat eye top button, two side pockets and two rear pockets, one of them with a closable pocket flap.
The fabric is a nice and sturdy cotton herringbone twill, a fabric that got it's name because the texture resembles the skeleton of a herring. This weaving technique is most commonly used in wool textiles and for more dressed up suits, but during the 40 and 50s it was also used in the military and the cotton herringbone fabric was referred to as the "HBT twill".
