Eastlogue are based in South Korea and their inspiration comes from traditional vintage garments intended for outdoor activities. Their goal is to produce highly functional garments inspired by the past but with a modern silhouette, creating garments that will become modern classics and that will be wearable for years to come.
This wool jacket finds it's inspiration in the classic M-43 HBT twill jacket used by the USMC back in the 40's. Rather than making it in cotton, Eastlogue has made their version in a dense melton wool quality. Details such as the large expandable chest pockets and the double layer behind the front row buttons that will prevent the wind from blowing straight through are details that are found on the original HBT twill jacket, and in order to make this jacket even more functional Eastlouge has added two hand warmer pocket as well.
Wear it as a warm autumn jacket when exploring the forest looking for mushrooms this fall and when the winter comes it will be the ultimate layering garment worn underneath your winter coat. We can assure you that it will help you get through even the coldest of winters! Also a reminder, wool is the only material that stillkeeps one warm even if it gets wet, the explanation to why old and new navy and fishermens clothes are made of wool!
