The 101 was designed to meet the Postal Service requirements, the 101 is a sturdy, sleek and simplistic shoe. Characteristics that served the America's mailmen well!
It was first introduced in 1954, Red Wing expands on this style with the more casual variations. Built using a black leather upper including a dog tail, blind eyelets and a Goodyear Welt. The cushion crepe black outsole gives these boots great comfort, allowing for longer walks just as a postman would.
It is said that this is actually one of if not the most produced Red Wing shoe ever made thanks to the large number made for the Postal services back in the middle of the last century.
