Sugar Cane & Co. Lot 470 Type 3 Slim Fit One Wash Black Jeans
Sugar Cane & Co
Sugar Cane is a Japanese brand focusing on reconstructing the early days of vintage workwear history. The brand has roots that goes back to the 1950's but it wasn't until the late 80's that Sugar Cane started building the reputation for being one of the best denim makers in Japan. It is a reputation they still deserve!
This fit is called Lot 470 and it is Sugar Cane's way of creating a pair of contemporary jeans inspired by the history of denim. With these jeans Sugar Cane has experimenting with the dye process to create a pair of black jeans that will age in a highly unique way. Two different black yarns are used to make this fabric, the warp is made of a sulfur dyed yarn and the weft is made of a reactive pigment dyed yarn. This means that the yarns will age differently. The surface of the jeans dyed with sulfur will age and wear in shades of gray while the weft will remain black much longer.
It will be interesting to see what these looks like after years of use and we have a strong feeling that the fabric will look just amazing when worn for a long time!
Johan is 173 cm tall, weigh 67 kilos and wears a size W 30.
Hemming is always included when you purchase a pair of jeans from us! Give us a comment during check out and we will shorten them before we send them. Keep in mind that you won't be able to return the jeans if we alter the length for you.
For hemming, we'll use a vintage Union Special chain stitch sewing machine, to match the original seam of the jeans.
