This is a reproduction of a vintage Hawaiian shirt produced in the mid 20th century. In the mid 1940s a factory named Aloha Trading was established in Kyoto, Japan specialized in printing Hawaiian shirt fabrics. These fabrics was then exported to Hawaii where the shirts was made. The motive of this particular shirt is influenced by a Japanese festival at night were the main motif is made up by lanterns.
