The jacket was made of \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003edown feathers within quilted fabric and was an invention that mr Bauer came up with after nearly losing his life to hypothermia during a mid winter fishing trip. Ever since, the down puffer jacket has proven to be the best protection against extreme cold weather. The combination of a light weight jacket, a durable windproof shell fabric and the insulation quality of down makes the jacket superb as protective outerwear in cold climates. Up to this day the down puffer jacket has remained the best option for a lightweight jacket to be worn in extremely cold climates.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eEddie Bauer became well known for producing functional outdoor clothing and this vest is a good example of it. Produced in the 60's with the beautiful vintage Eddie Bauer logo in the neck. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe vest is vintage but in great condition for its age.
