Vintage Deadstock US Air Force Type C-1 First Pattern Vest Emergency Sustenance
The C-1 Emergency Sustenance vest is made to carry all necessities one could need in an emergency situation. The vest has numerous labeled pockets intended for rations, survival gear, and first aid items. It has a leather holster at the back. I buttons in front and ties with twill tape at the back, a smart way for easy adjustment of the size.
This vest is a so called "first pattern" which means that it is the earliest and most rare variant of the C-1 vest that differs slightly from its successor.
The vest was used by the US Air force during WWII, the Korean War, and for a short time during the Vietnam War.
This vest is a vintage one from the 50's and in perfect deadstock condition.
