Vintage vest used by the American army during the Korean war 1950-53. The vest is designed to be a warming layer, made of a green cotton twill and fully lined with alpacka wool. It has three front pockets and width adjusters on the lower back. The back of the vest is cut longer than the front in order to keep the lower back warm.
The vest has two embroidered patches, one on the chest and a large patch on the back reading "Transient Alert Osan A. B. Korea, Service & Suport 51st Air Base Wing"
The Vest is vintage and has been worn a lot, and the traces of use adds a great patina that only can be achieved from years of usage. Over all the vest is still in good shape for it's age and the only visible damage is a rip in the fabric right in-between the two lower button (see picture). Right next to the pocket there is also two small holes that looks to have been caused by a staple. There are no makers mark or stamps on the vest.
