This is a pair of original vintage US Army P-43Trousers used by the US Army during world war two. The green cotton herringbone twill (HBT) uniform was first made in 1941 as a replacement of the blue denim uniform that was standard issue in the 30's.
These particular trousers are of the so called 2'nd pattern from 1942 when the government decided to re-design both the jacket and the trousers that made up the uniform, and asimplified and more functional version of the uniform was created. The pants have the two large cargo pockets and to protect the wearer from possible chemical warfare they also have the overlapping fly as an effort to prevent blister agents from reaching soldiers' skin. The trousers have a high rise with wide legs to make it easier to move around.
The pants have been used but are still in great condition for their age. The left leg pocket has some small holes in them but other than that the pants are in great shape and ready to be worn. The length of the legs has been shortened, so make sure to check the measurements. Our estimation is that they will fit you perfectly if you are a W 32 / L 30 in modern jeans.
