W'menswear is a small brand founded by Lauren Yates focused on designing hard-hitting garments for hard-hitting women, developed from inspirational women through history who paved way for future generations.
The inspiration for this seasons collection from W'menswear comes from the 50'th anniversary of the Apollo 11 space mission and Lauren has looked out in the deepest space when developing this collection.
The Galactic Weather coat is developed to be a functional and protective jacket to wear during the rainy seasons of autumn and spring. It is cut with a wide fit allowing one to layer up with a warm wool sweater underneath to keep the cold winds out.
The fabric used for this jacket is a waxed cotton made by Halley Stevensons in Scotland. It is dry to the touch and quite soft, and will withstand light rain but maybe not a heavy downpour. The chest pockets and the edge of the hood is made with a reflecting fabric to make sure that one stays visible during the dark autumn nights, a great detail if worn when biking as well to make sure that cars spot you at a distance. The jacket is lined with a cotton fabric with a printed dotted pattern that reminds us of the night sky in a most beautiful and playful way!
