W'menswear is a small brand founded by Lauren Yates focused on designing hard-hitting garments for hard-hitting women, developed from inspirational women through history who paved way for future generations.
This waist long jacket finds it’s inspiration in the cut of denim jackets from the 50/60s, in combination with a camouflage pattern that makes one think of military and hunting garments. The leaf pattern is printed on a rip stop cotton fabric, a cotton canvas fabric that was used in the 60s and was known to be extremely durable but still thin and breathable.
The jacket has details such as a pleated front where two folds run next to the opening of the jacket, giving the jacket some more flexibility when worn closed. There are two lower hand warmer pockets and two inner pockets, one with an opening to store a pencil that can be accessed from the outside of the jacket. The two front pieces of the jacket are slightly off set at the front, a detail that is visible where the yokes meet. We are not sure why this is but it does add an eye catching detail to the garment!
