Sugar Cane 13oz. Brown Duck Work Pants

Sugar Cane & Co is a Japanese brand focusing on reconstructing the early days of vintage workwear history. The brand has roots that goes back to the 1950's but it wasen't until the late 80's that Sugar Cane started building the reputation for being one of the best denim makers in Japan and it is a reputation they still deserve!

One thing we really admire about Sugar Cane is the effort they put behind their garments, doing their best to recreate functional clothing from the past. They don't change too much but rather preserve the garments style and feeling!

Here's Sugar Cane's take on a 1940's style work pant. The 13oz. cotton duck canvas fabric combined with a relaxed fit makes this a pair of pants that will be ready for what ever challenges you are up for.

Cotton duck is a heavy, plain woven cotton fabric. The name duck comes from the Dutch word for linen cloth, “doek”. The tightly woven fabric is very durable and features some resistance to water and fire, features that made it a perfect material for ship sails and tents back in the days. Actually, Levi Strauss made his first pair of riveted jeans in a duck canvas material before he switched over to denim some years later on.

Douglas is 180 cm tall, weighs 84 kilos and wears size W32.

Hemming is always included when you purchase a pair of pants from us! Give us a comment during check out and we will shorten them before we send them. Keep in mind that you won't be able to return the pants if we alter the length for you.

For hemming, we'll use a vintage Union Special chain stitch sewing machine, to match the original seam of the jeans.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. The thigh measurements are taken 10 centimeters down from the crotch straight across the pant leg.
