Last Friday we took down the old Unionville sign to have it replaced with the new name of the store. The logo for Second Sunrise has been made by our talented friend Matylda Mcilvenny and it symbolizes the concept of the store and the projects that we do that goes hand in hand with the store.
The sun represents a new start with the top part inspired by indigo shibori techniques and the lower part representing stitches, a way to interpret the things that's synonymous with the store in one symbol. We like it a lot and we hope that you will too.
Von Sven is a sign painter working in our neighborhood and since he painted the old sign, we found it fitting that he should be the one to re-paint it. The new sign is made all by hand giving it small deviations making it more interesting to watch and for our part it feels great to have a sign that has a lot of love and crafts behind it.
