Buzz Rickson's Civilian Model M-1943 Denim Trousers BR42466

The Japanese brand Buzz Rickson's are today counted among the few high-end reproduction manufacturers of military and casual garments in the world! They strive to make true replicas by carefully researching and analyzing original vintage garments, taking great care to duplicate the material while paying close attention to technique and quality. Their goal is to bring back old forgotten techniques and machines needed to make garments of outstanding quality without compromises.

This is Buzz Rickson's version of the M-43 trousers worn by the US army during WWII. It's a wide legged trouser with a high waist, a true 1940's fit made to be worn on any occasion. These got a button fly, waist side adjusters and width adjusters at the leg opening, made to be tightened when wearing boots. 

Denim was never used by the military in these pants, but often the military siluetts came to inspire civilian fits in the 40/50s and this is Buzz Rickson's version of a pair of civilian M-43 pants. 

The fabric is a nice and sturdy Japanese denim fabric. We can only imagine how beautifully these will age over time. At first, the material feels a bit stiff, but when these have been used for a while, they will get an incredibly nice drape.
