The Mulholland jacket finds it's inspiration in the classic British oil skin jackets made by both Barbour and Bellstaf in the 40s and the 50s. The iconic design was first used by the submarine troops during world war two and later re-designed to be worn as functional motorcycle jackets.
The slanted left chest pocket is one of the most iconic details of this model, making it easy to reach with your right hand while steering the bike with your left hand. Further more the jacket has a belt around the waist that can be used to tighten the fit using a solid brass buckle. A large pocket can be found on the lower back that is easy to reach with your right hand. The two lower front pockets are so called "storm pockets" and this simple and clever design is made with a fold over flap pocket that will prevent moisture or rain from getting through the opening. The right chest pocket has a pocket flap and a zipper underneath it. On the inside of the jacket there is also an inner pocket.
The sturdy cotton duck canvas fabric comes untreated and if one wants to make the jacket water repellent it will look just amazing if coated with wax! The jacket will then darken and get a shade that is similar to vintage jackets from the middle of the last century.
The last picture is from Mister Freedom and it shows what you can expect of the fabric and the shade of it if you decides to wax it!
