The H. W Dog & Co is a head wear manufacturer located in Japan. The inspiration comes from traditional head wear from different eras and the result is garments made in a contemporary style focusing on quality, functionality and long lasting styles that hopefully will stand the test of time.
This black Harris Tweed beret brings the thoughts back to the 1920’s. The 8-panel casquette hunting cap in Harris tweed fabric gives the wearer a classic silhouette and its a great finishing touch of when you need to keep your head covered yet don't need the warmest of head wear.
Harris Tweed has a rich history and was woven by farmers for familial use. Wool material was ideal for protection against the coastal climates of Norther Scotland. The quality became so well regarded that surplus was often used for barter,and later on became a kind of currency for the islanders. It was not unusual for rents to be paid in blankets or lengths of cloth.
