This Circle Naja Silver Pendant looks great worn on a chain around the neck, and its made by hand in Japan by Larry Smith. Inspired by Native American jewelry from the so called "Fred Harvey era" dating back to the early 20th century.
“Naja” is the name the Navajo gave to a symbol believed to have originated in the Middle East in ancient times. It's believed to have been created as a talisman that was usually affixed to horses’ bridles for protection. One theory is that the Navajo saw it on the Spanish Mexicans and adapted the symbol.
The Naja is also representative of the womb and if worn as a pendent with a turquoise stone in the center the stone is said to represent a child thats protected by the Naja. In this version the center is made of a Squash Blossom, The squash or "pumpkin flower", symbolizes prosperity of descendants and a good harvest.
Please note that the silver chain is not included. it is the medium chain from Larry Smith and you can find it here.
