Warehouse & Co Lot 2214 Greenbaum 1880 Heavy Leather Bound Browse Jacket

This jacket is made in Japan by Warehouse & Co. Warehouse is known for making some of the best vintage replica garments in the world and their attention to details when it comes to material and manufacturing techniques makes it hard to tell the difference if you compare a Warehouse garment with an actual vintage piece.

This is a replica of a 1880's Greenbaum blouse/jacket. In the early 1870's, Levi's Strauss was granted a patent for using rivets to stregthen stress points on denim workwear garments. This is what laid the foundation to the historical brand that Levi's is today.

However, in 1874, just one year after Levi's got their patent, another brand, Greenbaum, also San Fransisco, was granted a patent for strengthening stress points with leather. This was used until the 1890's when Levi's patent ran out.

This blouse/jacket is a replica of those very Greenbaum jackets. The jacket is made out of a lighter 2-by-1 selvedge denim fabric. It has leather reinforced front pockets, metal buttons and buckle. The fit is true to it´s era and the shoulder width and body width is about the same.

This product is non-washed model. Shrinkage will occur from the size chart below by washing(information taken from Warehouse website).

Warehouse & Co does not recommend using a dryer to dry this garment, since it will increase the amount of shrinkage.
