One Ear Brand are primarily associated with their wonderful scarves, but when we saw this bag we were impressed. It's a beautiful and incredible well made replica of a classic USARP tote bag. USARP was the US Antarctic Research Program, a civilian military program that started in 1959. We really appreciate the story behind this bag and its beautiful orange color, which works so well as a complementary color to greens and blues that we commonly wear on our jackets.
The body of this bag is made out of a 18 oz 100% cotton dusty orange duck fabric, the handles are made of heavy cotton fabric and the panels are stitch together with military olive HBT twill cotton fabric for extra strength. The brass zipper has two pulleys, to make it easy to open from both sides. Equipped with sand cast D-rings on each side of the bags for adding a shoulder strap if desired (please not that a shoulder strap is not included). There is a handle on one side as well and this is reinforced with leather triangles. On the inside there is a smaller pocket that can hold a wallet, phone and notebook as an example.
The shape and size of the bag makes it perfect as an everyday bag to store a laptop or gym clothes. But still big enough to be a perfect weekend bag. Or why not bring it with you next the time you go out hunting for vinyl records!
