OrSlow Women's Jasmine Curved Seam Jeans White

Since 2005 OrSlow has made clothes in Japan that are inspired by vintage garments. Rather than straight reproductions, they focus on interpreting the past through a modern lens with emphasis on quality construction, comfort and timeless style. 

These jeans are inspired by the 1950s, a time when leisure wear and denim became more and more popular. A few decades earlier denim was considered a workwear fabric and it wasn't until after the second world war that the fabric became popular in casual clothing. Women's jeans from this time were designed to follow the curves of the body. Designed to be comfortable to wear in everyday life they had high cut waists and generous leg widths, a style that corresponded well with the preferred style of the era. OrSlow has managed to capture this 1950's style in a contemporary way and we are really happy to carry these jeans!

These pants has been washed once so that the pants won't shrink when you wash them. Due to the fact that the jeans are washed, the legs are slightly twisted. The so-called leg-twist is a detail that is synonymous with vintage jeans. It's an effect that appears after the first wash if the jeans have been cut and sewn using a denim fabric that isn't sanforized. We consider the twisted leg to be a part of authentic denim inspired by the past. The fabric used a white 10oz Japanese selvedge denim fabric with a slightly slubby surface giving the jeans a further vintage feel.

Norma is wearing a size EU XS / JPN 1 and measures 167 cm tall. Her waist measures 66 cm, hips 82 cm and seat 97 cm.  

Hemming is always included when you purchase a pair of jeans from us! Give us a comment during check out and we will shorten them before we send them. Keep in mind that you won't be able to return the jeans if we alter the length for you.

For hemming, we'll use a vintage Union Special chain stitch sewing machine, to match the original seam of the jeans.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. The thigh measurements are taken 10 centimeters down from the crotch straight across the pant leg.
