Anatomica Lot. 618 Marilyn I Jeans

Anatomica lot 618 finds its inspiration in the iconic women's 701 jeans made by Levi's in the 40's and 50's. As the name suggests these jeans was loved by actress Norma Jean also known as Marilyn Monroe.

In our collection we have an old vintage original Levi's 701 from the 50's and we have been looking for a brand that manages to recreate the fit. With a high waist, made in 100% cotton and cut with a curve that gives room for hips and seat without a gape at the waist.

618 Marilyn I Jeans are a classic pair of jeans with a high waist that goes to the actual waist. It's narrow at the waist and and gets more loose from the hips and over the seat for a comfortable fit.

The jeans are made of a Japanese selvedge denim, sturdy enough for everyday use but soft enough to sit down in. Anatomica have put all their effort to recreate the fabric used in vintage women's jeans from the middle of the last century and we have to say that we are impressed of how well they have succeeded in this.

Norma is wearing a size W25 and measures 167 cm tall. Her waist measures 66 cm, hips 82 cm and seat 97 cm.  

Hemming is always included when you purchase a pair of jeans from us! Give us a comment during check out and we will shorten them before we send them. Keep in mind that you won't be able to return the jeans if we alter the length for you.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface when buttoned on the tightest of the two buttons. The thigh measurements are taken 10 centimeters down from the crotch straight across the pant leg. The hips is measured 15 cm down from the waist straight across.
