The Japanese brand Buzz Rickson's are today counted among the few high-end reproduction manufacturers of military and casual garments in the world! They strive to make true replicas by carefully researching and analyzing original vintage garments, taking great care to duplicate the material while paying close attention to technique and quality. Their goal is to bring back old forgotten techniques and machines needed to make garments of outstanding quality without compromises.
Buzz Rickson's sweatshirts are knitted on original 4-needle 1920's vintage loopwheel machines in Japan. The facility that makes these knits is one of the last ones in the world to maintain and keep these looms in working order, making the fine 13-ounce 100% cotton tubular knit used in these sweatshirts.
4-Needle looms are special machines that are able to knit a perfect tube, but they can only knit a set diameter. In other words one loom for each size is required and this is why one hardly ever sees perfect tube construction in modern day garments. This special way of sewing allows Buzz Rickson's to create sweatshirts without side seams, a technique that ensures that the true shape of the garment is maintained not only during its construction but also during its life of wear.
Through our years in business we have been offering cotton sweatshirts from many brands but with time it has come clear to us that the 4-Needle Sweatshirt from Buzz Rickson's is our favorite! It has that great combination of simplicity and quality that is second to none, making this sweatshirt a core piece in the wardrobe. We met a person once that told us that he had been wearing his Buzz sweatshirt for fifteen years now and that it was still going strong! To us, that's proof that these sweatshirts won't let you down.
Johan is 173 cm tall, weigh 67 kilos and wears size M.
Miriam is wearing a size S and measures 160 cm tall, chest 90 cm, waist 68 cm and hips 111 cm.
These sweaters do not shrink when washed but the jersey will form and stretch over time. So if it feels a little tight at first, it will fit perfectly after a period of use.
