Since 2005 OrSlow has made clothes in Japan that are inspired by vintage garments. Rather than straight reproductions, they focus on interpreting the past through a modern lens with emphasis on quality construction, comfort and timeless style.
This kind of jacket can be referred to as a "chore jacket" or "loco jacket" and the model was commonly used for work wear in the early 20th century. The style of jacket has survived up until today due to it's functional design; a great jacket with large and spacious pockets!
OrSlow's version is inspired by traditional garments and intended to be used in a contemporary way. What we really like about the design is the slightly playfulness that comes with the soft curved pockets and an interesting wide and short cut.
The fabric is a supple denim with a good, strong feel to it and the garment is light enough to be worn as a layering piece. The indigo dyed yarn will also age in the most beautiful way the more it gets worn! Douglas is 180 cm tall with a weigh of 84 kilos and wears a size 2.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. Width is measured straight across the chest from armpit to armpit, length is measured at the back of the garment from the neck down and the sleeve length is measured on the underarm from the armpit to the end of the cuff.
