Since 2005 OrSlow has made clothes in Japan that are inspired by vintage garments. Rather than straight reproductions, they focus on interpreting the past through a modern lens with emphasis on quality construction, comfort and timeless style.
This jacket is OrSlows version of the iconic M-43 HBT Twill jacket used by the USMC in the 1940's. The garment is intended to be worn as an over-shirt and the fit along with the two large pockets was designed to be functional and to make it easy to carry your necessities in the pockets. The fabric is developed to be as close as the original fabric as possible and in our opinion it's actually better than the fabrics used in the 1940's! After a few washes the character of the garment truly begins to show and the olive color pairs well with wardrobe classics such as sweatshirts, chambrays and faded jeans.
Johan is 173 cm tall, weighs 67 kilos and wears a size 1.
