Sugar Cane & Co is a Japanese brand focusing on reconstructing the early days of vintage workwear history. The brand has roots that goes back to the 1950's but it wasen't until the late 80's that Sugar Cane started building the reputation for being one of the best denim makers in Japan and it is a reputation they still deserve!

One thing we really admire about Sugar Cane is the effort they put behind their garments, doing their best to recreate functional clothing from the past. They don't change too much but rather preserve the garments style and feeling!

Here's Sugar Cane's take on a 1940's style work pant. They feature a hammer loop and tool pockets that will fit some nifty stuff. The fit is relaxed the fabric is a reproduction of vintage JELT denim, a fabric that was popular in work wear from the middle of the last century. In the production the yarn is twisted tightly making a fine and strong thread that is woven into a sturdy twill fabric. The result is a strong fabric which is not too heavy, ideal for comfortable and long lasting work wear!

Johan is 173 cm tall, weigh 67 kilos and wears size W 30 / L 32.

Hemming is always included when you purchase a pair of pants from us! Give us a comment during check out and we will shorten them before we send them. Keep in mind that you won't be able to return the pants if we alter the length for you.

For hemming, we'll use a vintage Union Special chain stitch sewing machine, to match the original seam of the jeans.
