The type three jacket was introduced in 1962 as an updated version of the predecessor the typ 2 that is a more traditional denim work jacket. The new Type 3 jacket was designed to be worn by it's time era, denim had become the fabric of choice for the youth and young adults and some styles like this jacket was here to stay.

The Sugar Cane version is made with an updated slightly longer fit to make it easier to wear with the modern silhouette. The fabric used is 14,25 oz Japanese denim that has been pre-washed so that the jacket will be soft to wear from the start and it won't shrink when washed for the first time.
