Moonstar has been producing shoes using traditional techniques in Kurume in western Japan since 1873. The Kurume factory first began to prosper in the rubber industry during the manufacturing of the Jika-Tabi shoe, a rubber soled boot with a split toe. The wealth of knowledge and skilled craftsmanship, garnered through decades of production can be found within each and every Moonstar shoe and can be branded “Made in Kurume” with pride!
