As with so many niche interests, it is often in Japan that one find those enthusiasts who truly immerse themselves in a subject to master it and try to carry on a legacy and tradition of quality as well as craftsmanship. Ace Western Belt are no exception!
Ace Western Belts is today, in our opinion, the leading manufacturer of decorative vintage style rhinestone belts. The belts that Ace makes today have their origins in the 20th century America. Practical and sturdy belts had been around for a long time, but at a time when Rodeo culture and glamorous stage wear were gaining traction, rhinestone belts whose main purpose was to be decorative began to increase in popularity.
Ace Western Belts are extremely particular about the parts and crafts to make these belts, and have built relationships with various American companies to create the ultimate rhinestone belts. While some companies eventually closed, Ace patiently worked on building good relationships with new producers over years. Constantly incorporate new techniques and ideas, aiming to create products that exceed their customers' expectations. Striving to achieve the same quality and craftsmanship as the decorated belts made in the 1930 to 50s, during the golden age of Western wear!
The belt is cut from a single piece of leather with a thickness of 2 - 2,5 mm, in the same thickness at they wear made cabk in the days.
This type of belt has been associated with subcultures for decades. In 1984, Bruce Springsteen wore a western rhinestone belt with a pair of worn in Levi's 501s, a white t-shirt and a baseball cap in the back pocket. A combination that is still synonymous with a sense of freedom up until today.
To measure a belt you take the measurement from the inner front edge of the buckle (where the prong meets the frame) to the middle hole and that number should match the width around your waist. In that way you will have holes ready if your waist measure becomes bigger or smaller.
Please note that the size of these are in actual inches and not the Waist size of jeans which these days are much larger than the inches measurements as the size refers to. With that in mind, you will need to order at least one size larger than what you normaly wear on your jeans, but please make sure to measure to ensure a good fit.
