The Artist’s Wrap Dress described by Miriam Parkman "When I look at some of my favorite artists from the past, like Veronica Nygren, Tove Janson, Georgia O’Keeffe and Mary Blair, there’s always one detail that catches my eye besides the art - their clothes. They all had iconic looks and one specific garment is always present, no matter the decade or the place; a protective and practical cotton coat/jacket. Worn in studios and workshops by painters, sculptors, weavers and car mechanics alike, it’s durable, comfortable and full of helpful pockets.
My take on this iconic garment is something between a coat and a dress - wear open, like a coat, or wrapped, like a dress. Wear on top of your outfit or as a single layer. Wear for a day in the studio and for a gallery opening, for gardening and date night. It’s just that versatile - the perfect mix between work wear and stylish casual. Made in a sturdy yet soft cotton/linen mix, it features two big front pockets, a smaller phone pocket, a chest pocket, a pen pocket and a hidden chest pocket on the inside. It ties with a ribbon long enough to style in multiple ways and the collar looks just as good open or closed/popped. I’m absolutely stoked about how well this garment came out and it really is the perfect companion in my studio!"
Miriam is wearing a size small and measures 160 cm long, chest 90 cm, waist 68 cm and hipps 111 cm.
