Mister Freedom Natural Campus Leather Jacket Veg Tanned

We are happy to have one of our all time favorite jackets in store once again! When we first stocked this amazing Mister Freedom leather jacket six years ago we didn't know what to expect of the aging of the leather. Soon it became clear to us that it will be hard to find a garment that will evolve in a more beautiful and personal way. From the start this vegetable tanned leather jacket is almost white and it is best described as a white canvas before an artist starts working with it. The jacket will age, get stained and darken the more you use it and we can assure you that it will be one of those garments that will get a certain spot in ones wardrobe and that you will most likely develop an attachment to it in a most unique way!

The jacket finds it's inspiration in civilian sports jackets from the 30s also known as Cossack jackets. It has two slash front pockets with arrow stops in the corners and the collar and cuffs are lined with a brown corduroy. The buttons are so called "cat eye" buttons made of corozo wood. The jacket has side gussets with adjustable side straps and underneath the armpit there are venting eyelets.  

The first stain you get on this jacket might feel distressing but when you continue to use it, it will even out and with time and lots of wear it will get a beautiful and natural darker shade.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. Width is measured straight across the chest from armpit to armpit, length is measured at the back of the garment from the neck down and the sleeve length is measured on the underarm from the armpit to the end of the cuff.
