This is the kind of shirt that you think about when it comes to Momotaro. Intended to be easy and functional to wear in your everyday life, and just as your blue jeans it will only get better the more it gets used. The design is based on a style of shirt that was common in the middle of the 20th century, a garment that most likely never will go out of style.
Momotaro reinvented the pattern for this shirt with a combination of a classical sleeve on the front and a raglan sleeve on the back. There is also one fabric piece that follows the side of the shirt and runs all the way to the cuff at the end of the sleeve, ensuring that the shirt is comfortable to wear.
The fabric is a nice and soft twill that has a woven stripe pattern, inspired by vintage workwear and hand-stitched sashiko. The result is a combination of traditional Japanese crafts and the functionality of American workwear garments!
