Sugar Cane is a Japanese brand focusing on reconstructing the early days of vintage workwear history. The brand has roots that goes back to the 1950's but it wasen't until the late 80's that Sugar Cane started building the reputation for being one of the best denim makers in Japan and it is a reputation they still deserve!
This is Sugar Canes version of a classic work jacket. The jackets name is "Sensuji" which means a thousand streaks and it is commonly seen on traditional Japanese pottery. In this case it refers to the beautiful striped cotton fabric used in this jacket.
The jacket has two front pockets and the cuffs are traditional work style cuffs, commonly used on work jackets from the early 20'th century. The buttons are unbranded black coated metal donut buttons.
We really appreciate this jacket because to us it looks like a blend of traditional Swedish garments and the history of vintage American work wear, combined with Japanese crafts and aesthetics. Simply a great mixture combined in one jacket!
The jacket is pre washed so there is no need to be worried about the shrinkage.
