Duke is the name of the new style from Indigofera. The story behind Duke started when we requested a wider fit from Indigofera and together with our thoughts, Indigofera developed Duke. We are now very exited to finally get to see the result and we have to say that it is exactly what we hoped for!
The silhouette pays tribute to Lee jeans from the 30s, an iconic fit with a good height at the waist and very wide legs. The choice of a slightly thicker fabric in these than what we usually associate with jeans from the 30s adds a nice drape and it really highlights the width of the pants in a nice way.
The fabric is a black 14oz Japanese selvage woven at the mill Nihon Menpu in Japan. Imagine a black denim fabric that would age in the same way as a pair of raw blue jeans! The Gunpowder fabric is made to do just that. The stiffness of the fabric breaks in when worn, and becomes more personal the more it is used, showing traces of what you and your jeans have experienced together.
Hemming is always included when you purchase a pair of jeans from us! Give us a comment during check out and we will shorten them before we send them. Keep in mind that you won't be able to return the jeans if we alter the length for you.
Douglas is 180 cm tall with a weigh of 87 kilos and wears size W 32, combining the jeans with a pair of Rooster boots from our friends at Bright Shoemakers.
