Indigofera x Second Sunrise Dunder Cotton / Wool Pants
We are pleased to announce that we have been teaming up with our friends at Indigofera. Together we made a small collection for the autumn of 2021!
These garments finds their inspiration in vintage Swedish army and outdoor clothes and the names are inspired by a beloved Swedish cartoon from the 70's known as Dunderklumpen.
The Dunder pants are inspired by a 1940's Swedish army pant, with a high waist and straight legs making them comfortable to wear. The fabric is a Japanese 3 x 1 twill woven of 70 % cotton and 30 % wool. The inspiration of the fabric comes from a pair of miners pants used in Colorado in the late 19th century. Unlike the all cotton jeans worn in California and Nevada during the same period, denim made of cotton and wool occurred in Colorado. Simply because the harsh climate gave rise to warmer materials. In Sweden, wool has also been a much used material. Simply because we find ourselves in the northern part of the world and don't have a climate suitable for growing cotton.
The fabric is woven with cotton in the warp and cotton/wool blend in the weft. The inside of the fabric is brushed to enhance the wool's unique ability of keeping warmth.
Douglas is 180 cm tall, weigh 84 kilos and wears a size W32. Hemming is always included when you purchase a pair of pants from us! Give us a comment during check out and we will shorten them before we send them. Keep in mind that you won't be able to return the pants if we alter the length for you.
