Bandanas are designed and conceptualized by Jonathan Lukacek. All the art for the brand is done by Yurika Shikai. Together each bandana is carefully designed to bring something totally new to the market. These products are not only for fashion but also for living. Please use them in a variety of ways from wrapping presents, to wearing as a babushka, pashmina, scarf, head-wrap, hijab, square, kerchief, cravat etc. The utility is endless. Perfect for outdoor music festivals, house music events, summer beach days, hiking, camping, everything.
This design is based-off so called Trade blankets. Jonathan is particular a fan of Esmond Mills from Rhode Island. Bandannas were also produced in Rhode Island for a long time as well. Trade blankets are a major cultural symbol of American history and the West. These beautiful designs originate from traditional Native American basket weaving, beadwork and weaving techniques. They have a strong affiliation with a variety of cultural topics but for this one Yurika and I designed this one around a Esmond blanket. In a stunning color that goes in matcha green, indigo blues and rusty reds. A nice combination of Japanese colors and American history.
