Since 2005 OrSlow has made clothes in Japan that are inspired by vintage garments. Rather than straight reproductions, they focus on interpreting the past through a modern lens with emphasis on quality construction, comfort and timeless style.
These pants finds their inspiration in carpenter pants from the 1930's. A high waist, wide legs and many functional pockets makes these a perfect and comfortable pair of everyday pants. The large back pockets in combination with the very wide legs tells us that these fit like overalls from the 30s, but without the bib and suspenders.
The fabric is made to resemble the so called Jelt denim from the 1930's. This thin but densely woven fabric is durable without being thick and uncomfortable to wear. Douglas is 180 cm tall, weigh 87 kilos and wears a size EU M / 3. He combines the pants with a Warehouse & Co T-shirt and a pair of custom White's Dress Boots. Plus an amazing vintage Mexican sombrero from the 1950's. Hemming is always included when you purchase a pair of jeans from us! Give us a comment during check out and we will shorten them before we send them. Keep in mind that you won't be able to return the jeans if we alter the length for you.
For hemming, we'll use a vintage Union Special chain stitch sewing machine, to match the original seam of the jeans.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. The thigh measurements are taken 10 centimeters down from the crotch straight across the pant leg.
