Since 2005 OrSlow has made clothes in Japan that are inspired by vintage garments. Rather than straight reproductions, they focus on interpreting the past through a modern lens with emphasis on quality construction, comfort and timeless style.
This garment is inspired by the pullover used by the US Navy in the 40s known as the gunner smock, originally intended to be worn as a protective outer layer worn on top of the other garments. The oversized hood is shaped to wear on top of a helmet and even if you do not do this today it sure gets an interesting shape. The two front pockets are slanted to make it easy to reach with the hands. The smock has a draw string around the hood and the waist.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. Width is measured straight across the chest from armpit to armpit, length is measured at the back of the garment from the neck down and the sleeve length is measured on the underarm from the armpit to the end of the cuff.
