Since 2005 OrSlow has made clothes in Japan that are inspired by vintage garments. Rather than straight reproductions, they focus on interpreting the past through a modern lens with emphasis on quality construction, comfort and timeless style.
This is OrSlows version of the iconic tropical field hat used by the US Army in the 50/60s. OrSlow made this with a nice twist with the super wide brim. Perfect for keeping the sun out of sight during the sunny months of the year.
The fabric is a rip stop cotton. A fabric developed for the US Army during WWII, by weaving the fabric with a grid of thicker threads it gets more resistant to rips and tears.
