Papa Nui is a small cap making brand that's built all around the love of things with utility! Mixing military, surfing and a big spoon of vintage clothing is the inspiration that goes behind making these products!
The Bird Farm Cap is an interesting interpretation of how a cap worn by the USN in the early 40s could have looked like. The fabric used is a durable Bedford cord "Jungle cloth" that was used by the US Navy in their N1 Deck Jackets back in the 40's where they treated the fabric to make it water resistant and gave it the name Jungle Cloth, and it was well regarded for both it's durability and for keeping the winds away. The N1 deck jackets from the early 40s were also lined with a wool fabric and the same goes for this cap as well. The wool will make sure that your head stays warm while you stay looking cool in cold weather!
